Laboratory handling considerations
General good-practice points for handling sealed research materials within a laboratory setting.
Good practice
Handle materials only in an appropriate laboratory environment, by trained personnel, using the personal protective equipment and procedures your organisation requires.
Inspect seals and labels on receipt, record batch numbers, and quarantine anything that arrives damaged until it has been checked.
Documentation
Keep safety, storage and analytical documentation alongside the material. If you need documentation for a batch, use the Batch Verification page or contact us.
